Who
We Are and What We Are About:
We are a grassroots
resource for advocating, engendering, and disseminating a culture of Diaspora Consciousness via international coalition. We promote and disseminate positive, spiritual uplift
in conscious music and culture around the globe via professional media, print and broadcast, events, and in the academy. We endeavor to effectively combat efforts to suppress
and censor burgeoning, independent, African-derived culture, scholarship, and activist artists fostered largely outside of
mainstream outlets, which have an opposing agenda. We collaborate with global communities, activists, artists, promoters, DJs, producers,
and supporters in a new media empowerment campaign to combat traditional efforts to blockade the mass appeal of African centered
expressions of roots and culture in the arts and humanities by attempting to silence the most visible of its spokespersons,
and most importantly, We strive to support and return ALL CENSORED ARTISTS BACK TO THE UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES
THEY EMPOWER AND FROM WHICH THEY MAY HAVE BEEN BANNED!!!!
We actively promote local community building efforts
via political, economic, and social development programming designed to foster and continue the organization, education, upliftment,
inspiration, information, enjoyment, and empowerment of underserved partner constituencies around the globe.
This site is livicated to the memory of Professor Veve Amasasa Clark, of the University of California at Berkeley,
scholar/activist/intellectual extraordinaire. We carry the torch for you now.
Our Livication
Mission Statement:
In essence,
we promote, explore, and explain the formation, or deepening of an existing, Worldwide Diaspora Consciousness, critical in
these corrupt and oppressive times. We promote sociocultural networking for overall empowerment, and pursue continually greater
intellectual, creative and spiritual insight for the upliftment of disenfranchized, exploited masses world wide.
